Honoring the 19th Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
August 26 is Women’s Equality Day. In 1973, the U.S. Congress designated this day to commemorate the 1920 certification of the 19th Amendment to the Constitution, which granted women the right to vote. Celebrating this monumental legislation is even more exciting as we approach the 100th anniversary of the Amendment next year.
August 26, 2020, is the 100th anniversary of the ratification of the 19th Amendment. Countless groups have grown up across the country to recognize women’s successful grassroots drive to win the vote. They have spent months organizing celebrations and commemorations, and often creating new and exciting educational materials to mark the centenni
